saturday randoms {well now its sunday}

I didn't finish this post on saturday, SO. just pretend its saturday when you're reading this and we'll be good.

 

obviously i didn't do tumblr Thursday or Friday favorites. fail. that was due to the fact that i wasn't feeling well{big surprise i know} and that if i did feel well i worked on school and then if i did get to blog i wanted to post about a certain song AND our Internet and phone went out yesterday around 3pm. thankfully it was fixed earlier this am around 9am. i didn't realize just how much i use the Internet! but i/we survived. mom mentioned to dad that we felt a bit Amish though ;) hehe.

anywho, here I am. i'm not going to catch up on tumblr thursday or friday favorites though. this post is going to be some random thoughts of mine ;)

--Have you all heard of/been to the blog Boho Baby Bump? no you haven't? well get over there right now. Its a lovely blog by a beautiful momma who loves her sweet family and Jesus, has fabulous taste in style and has such an inspiring outlook and love on life. On wednesday she posted a super sweet video announcing the news that she is pregnant! {read this post and you'll see why this pregnancy is extra special.} I'm SO excited for them! :) 

--I'm showing signs of the fact that I'm watching lots of Monk and Numb3rs episodes. Like the other day my mom said something about Asia maps and i thought she said "Agent Eppes is coming." yeahh and then my mom and I are just taking on some of Monk's traits. such as opening public doors with our sleeves randomly or straightening out signs{my mom was walking by a counter at the library and she fixed a crooked display.} its NOT obsessive and most of the time we do it out of fun but sometimes we do things that Monk would do without even thinking.

--a tweet from Thursday: confession-- i just drooled on my algebra paper. i was looking at pictures of Thor on tumblr. mmhm. ~i have no words.




-- When did it become FEBRUARY? really. my birthday is at the end of this month. and i actually get a real birthday! and i ordered my dad a birthday gift and i *may* of ordered a birthday gift from me to me also ;)

--please read this post- "How does a bar of soap rescue a Child?" Its about the Superbowl and human trafficking. the numbers and statistics are shocking and terrible. we must pray and help raise awareness. {read my post about this from last year here}

who really had the idea of tumblr? {sick and catching up}

Ah! I've been away from this blog for too long! I was sick with an awful sinus infection and it totally drained me and knocked me out. So there was no blogging happening. I couldn't even get school done or hardly get out of bed. Now most of my family is sick with colds. :/ thankfully I'm mostly over the sinus ick but I still have the terrible headache that still makes me feel really bad. how was your week? :)
I missed doing Tumblr Thursday and Friday Favorites so I'm gonna mix both of those into this post ;)

First off- football. that packers game. really?? that was horrible. shameful actually. only lost 1 game in the season and then that. dad thinks they were paid off or something because that was not packers playing. Now I am forced to cheer for the Patriots. *sigh*

 Saw this movie with my mom, a friend and her mom last night. it is sad but very good. very good.

Thanks to Sky for strongly urging me to watch this show, its a new favorite. and I'm only the 4th episode. I love shows like these. I love the values and lessons, the characters, the humor, the friendships, the loyalty, you get the idea.

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! {mine was good... I babysat, relaxed with my family and watching my packers win yet another game. I wasn't feeling well yesterday or today so that put a damper on my weekend so i'm praying for a better week}

good time at church this am+rain+blankets+football= my favorite sunday :) 

especially when my packers are lighting it up this season. undefeated. like whoa.

the not so favorite part is that currently my lymph nodes, throat and ears are really sore and hurting. My little brother and mom are not feeling well at all and have sore throats/headaches and such.(colds I think). But this just came on all of the sudden literally. I was fine one moment and the next I was in so much pain. We are hoping its just because of some new medicine I'm taking. I really hope we ALL get better so we can enjoy this week and Thanksgiving. and that I can get school done so i can have a few days off :)

well I i think i'm gonna go make myself some tea.

hey all you faithful followers of this recently very quiet blog!
it feels like i haven't written a blog post in forever. i miss it and i've thought of blog topics and say "I'm gonna write a post next time i get on the computer" and when I do- nothing. it just doesn't come. I don't know if i'm just too distracted or what. anyway, I'm sitting down and writing one now right? it! its a start right?! ;)

Okay so I think we've finally got fall around here! the highest in the last 2 weeks or so is 75/80 and the highest like in the 40s! i'm lovin' it. now i"m on the hunt for some fall clothes. Do you know how HARD it is to find jeans(or really any clothes for that matter) that you like, are your size and style and that don't cost an arm and a leg?! we went clothes shopping last night, we went to 3 stores and we couldn't find any jeans for me! there were either not my style, too skinny, too much or, 90% of the time, they didn't even have my size. we couldn't find anything over a size 11/13 and usually very skinny or they caved in at the thigh and went back out to the ends of the earth at the calves.  UM hello? they are people out here that aren't a size 11 and don't love clothes that are skin tight! ugh. do you girls have this problem?? BUT thankfully my awesome peeps on twitter gave me suggestions on where I might find some good jeans! so i'm on the hunt. :)

Ah I only have 1 more soccer game left! This season has gone by SO fast. It is my last one{i'll age out of our Rec league} and actually at the beginning of the season I wasn't too excited but then I got to know my team and got comfortable and I'm sad to see it go. I love the friendships you form from just 2 months of playing together on a soccer team.
speaking of sports, who's excited that its football season?! well i am.

a quick update on my health--I had an allergy test done last friday and that was an adventure. [a blog post coming about it.] I'm still battling with headaches most everyday, some that just knock me out. i get super tired and can't do school which is not very good. another than all the allergies, i think headaches are the biggest thing right now.


SO. its a beginning of a new week. {the last one of September. um just where did that month go? seriously!}. a fresh start. i'm setting some goals out there that I want to reach. not a bunch. i don't want to overwhelm myself but I don't want to cheat myself either. i'm going to keep track of how I do and i'll blog about it at the end of the week! motivation... :)


be in bed by 11pm . with babysitting and soccer its a really big help to get good sleep! ;]
workout {30 Day Shred and/or 1 mile run} on thursday.
getting my school done before getting on the computer for pleasure{blog, twitter, pinterest etc.} - school is hard enough already with my health issues and such so most of the time taking away the distraction of the computer is good.
have patience. I think that one is pretty self explanatory.

seriously this is CRAZY!!

I'm loving life right now. why?? well one reason is that....  

THE PACKERS WON THE SUPERBOWL!!

It was a great game! The Steelers did well.... but the Packs were on fire! whoop whoop!(Matthews was on his game!)   If you follow me on twitter, i apologize for filing up your twitter box! I couldn't yell and cheer because there was a babe sleeping so I had to do it on twitter ;P
Here was my Packers attire for the night :)

Aaron Rogers through some pretty sweet passes and they were caught beautifully! (most of them ;) and interception!! How sweet was that?! :) but some parts were nail biting. I'm glad that the Steelers did get a few touchdowns, I wanted them to leave with some dignity ;) But the Packers held them for the rest of the game and that lead to victory!! I was sad to see 2 players get injured :( hope they heal soon!  We had a great time with our friends. The parents talked, the kids played and I was basically the only one watching game. but dad did come and ask for updates ;) I'll post some pictures asap.go here to watch highlights from the game :]

 also, I won another giveaway!! I think I'm still in shock. I've never won any giveaways but in the past 4 weeks or so I've won 5 giveaways! but I'm definitely not complaining ;)

I'm getting so pumped for tomorrow!! We are having some good friends over and we are going to eat some good food, relax, and watch the game. Although I'm not sure if I'll be exactly relaxed during the game ;)

Did you know that I used to loathe football?? yes, I'm telling the truth and loathe is not a to strong of a word for what I felt. I hated it. and I made sure everyone that was around me knew it too. I thought it was boring, stupid, nonsense etc. It wasn't until about 2 years ago that I really started to have an interest in it. I don't even know how I got into it.  I felt so bad when I found out that is was interesting and i loved it because I had told everyone I hated it!  I did the same thing with Clay Matthews! i have a big mouth and I regret opening it most of the time ;] ughhh... don't you look back at the things you've done and say, what the heck was I doing?? so now I'm very careful about what I say that I love or hate ;) live and learn....

 ok well, I wanted to get all my school done over the week so I could have a school-free weekend. but that was a major fail. but I do have a few quiet hours this morning so I'm off to burie myself in school books.

wow, February 1st is tomorrow! Wasn't it just January 1st? well I really want to be in good health by birthday at the end of this month. the best gift I could receive would be my health. and I'm going to work hard to do that. I'm not making any promises but i will try. and I took the first step towards that today!

Today I officially became a gluten free girl :) and its feeling great!

(soon I'll be doing some blog posts about going gluten free, recipes etc.)
