being present and some kinda really awesome things that are happening soon.

so as you can probably tell I'm not blogging as regularly as I used to. I have no excuses for this. I'm just not blogging as much. I still love it and love you all but I now I blog when I feel like it and have something to write about. No pressure whatsoever. I saw this quote the other day, "don't just instagram your life, live it." I've been practicing being present in the moment. that means no computer or phone while watching a movie with someone else. leaving my phone and computer in my room in the evenings when my dad is home. etc etc. now i LOVE my electronics especially now that i have an iPhone but I've got to remember to balance. in addition life is getting pretty busy, good busy though.

now for the kinda really awesome things that are happening soon

who is ready for the Olympics?! I SURELY AM. And they're in LONDON. that means hearing British accents and seeing that beautiful place for 2 weeks straight. God Bless America and the wonderful UK.

I'm taking the test to get my drivers permit in 5 days. I'm really not that nervous surprisingly. hopefully I'll stay this way till after I take the test! ;) Everyone has said as long as i study I'll do fine.

In 8 days I'm going to spend a week with some of my very favorite people, my friend Sarahlynn, her family and another friend who lives here. Yeah, a whole week. with 3 of my favorite teenage friends. I really cannot wait. We are going to see The Dark Knight Rises together, its going to be epic.

fourthly, I'm assistant coaching my little brothers team with my mom. this will be an adventure. it will be the first soccer season I won't be playing and now I'll be teaching 7 and 8 year old boys :o)

so basically at the end of the week I spend with my friends, my summer is over. but oh well... this is life ;)

how is your summer? are you excited for the Olympics?!

Birthday and a few other things :)

Happy Birthday to ME!! :D I can't tell you how old I am but I can tell you that I'm a leap year baby :) I was born on February 29th but the 29th only comes every 4 years, so on the years when there is no 29th I usually celebrate my birthday on the 28th or March 1st :) This year I'm doing it on the 28th :D  I'm looking forward to spending the day with my family and a friend and the evening/night watching the Closing Ceremony for the Olympics :) I'm going to miss the Olympics SO much!! I'm going to through Olympics withdraw :( I'm not kidding.. the evenings are going to be so dull. Another 4 years... but I am looking forward to the Summer Olympics :D
Being looking for 2 Olympic posts :) I'll most likely do them sometime during the week :) I'm really excited about doing it!
Please vote on my Are you Praying for the Olympic Athletes poll :) the post explaining it will come soon :)

Olympics!!

I don't know about you but I've been having such a fun and great time watching the Olympics! My favorite sports to watch are Figuring Skating, Snowboarding, Speed Skating ( I like the Short Track much better than Long Track!) and all the Skiing events except for Ski Jumping. I was SO happy when Evan Lysacek won the gold medal!! You could feel when he was skating that he was working so hard and he seems so different than the other skaters, he wasn't out there to impress anybody or want everybody to notice him and to watch him, he just wanted to do a good job :) Evan- you did a great job and you totally deserved it! Watching Lindsey Vonn was very fun but kinda scary because I didn't know how she would do with her shin injury but she got gold! I'm very excited to see what she will do in the other events :) I've never watched Speed Skating before now and I've found that I really like it! Shani Davis and Apolo Ohno have both been doing a fanastic job! Last night my mom and I were watching the Short Track Final and we were cheering on Apolo Ohno and I've never seen my mom watch an Olympic event like that ( well except for when Lindsey Vonn was skiing) she was literally biting her nails because she wanted Apolo Ohno to get gold :) I admit it was really close! I'm really surprised he held on to get the bronze. He waits till almost the last minute to move up from the back and he makes you think that he's going to end up in like last place. He did a great job! Shaun White- I have to say he's a awesome snowboarder and I'm glad that he got gold but thats really all I can say about him. I'm not a big fan of him apart from his snowboarding abilities, sorry all you Shaun White fans :)

My birthday is in 7 days!! Ahhh!!

thought I'd share a fun picture :) its my eye lol :D

Hope you are having a great Sunday!

saturday saturday how come you went by so fast?

I feel like today just flew by! I guess it could be because I spend most of the day laying on the couch and watching the Olympics :) My head is hurting really bad again and my ears have started hurting again :( yesterday I felt pretty good, I exercised and we had friends over but last night I began to feel bad again. I'm praying that I will begin to have more days like yesterday :D

I forgot to mention that because I deleted my Photobucket account my blog button is gone so for those of you who took my button and put it on your blog, it won't be there anymore! I'm working on finding another site and making another blog button :)

And I found a tutorial on how to get a scrolling button gadget! I found it on Robin Blogs . I've been looking for one because I've got a lot of blog buttons and it saves a lot of space on your blog and its just cool!

I'm going say this because you probably won't read this at least until tomorrow ( maybe?)
Happy Valentines Day!

I hope you have a wonderful day spending time with the people you love!

I also watched the full music video of We are the World this morning at the beginning of today's Olympic events, it was really good. I loved how they got so many different singers and brought them all together to record this song!
Here's the full music video:

The people of Haiti are in my prayers and I hope they are in yours too :)
