Emily's blog?,I am Second, and its too much!

Ok girls, you remember Emily right?
well I can't find her blog. I've clicked on her button and googled it her blog name(Living for His Purpose/Emily's Cancer Blog) and when I click on it, it has an error message.I've even tried it on different computers so I'm wondering if they've deleted her blog or something like that.I can't even get to her little brother's blog. Is it just me or has her blog disappeared?? I really hope it isn't!!

I saw this really neat video on Bleah's blog. There is this really neat movement called I am Second and its  really fantastic.I hadn't heard of it until I watched this video. It features Jason Castro, a new-er music artist with a really neat voice and awesome hair! (seriously, I love it and I'm seriously thinking about getting dreadlocks, more about that later). here is what I am Second is and the video.

I've come to the fact that I'm expecting too much out of myself regarding my gluten free eating plan and exercising plan. I hate to say that but working out every other day is just too much. My body can't take that with all that I've been through and what I am going through. I get Jillian Michael's Losing it newsletter everyday and one day it was about making setting goals that you can accomplish and work your way up to bigger challenges(read it here) It reminded me that I can't just plunge right into working out or eating gluten free or really can't jump right into many things in life. I was feeling bad when I couldn't not eat gluten for just 1 day or I had to stop for a few mins while doing an intense workout. I need to start small and work my way up. When I first starting thinking about this I thought " I feel like a lazy slacker or I need to do more!". But if I take it slow and accomplish small goals then I can work my way up to greater challenges. So I'm going to work out 2-3 days a week and work my way up to eating gluten free all the time. so if I eat some bread or a granola bar for a snack then I do and I keep going on. I'm not going to just eat whatever I want but I'm not going to beat myself up for eating something that's not GF free. I've also thought of the idea of at night writing down the things I've accomplished that day. So I write if I went the whole day without eating gluten or if I ate 1 meal GF or exercised that day. I'm going to do this with Bible reading, I really need to get in the Word more and so I'm going to start in Genesis and read 1 chapter everyday( we are doing this in our youth group at church). That way during the weekend I can look at the the goals I've accomplished during the week and be encourage but also look at the things I can work on during the next week :) So those are my ideas and thoughts!
That was a lot longer than I expected it to be! if you read through all of it congrats ;)

and yes I have 2 Taylor Swift songs on my playlist ;) Never Grow Up and Tied Together with a Smile. They are really neat songs and they don't involve any boys!! ;D Never Grow Up is such a sweet song, even if you don't like Taylor Swift please take a listen. I can relate this song to my little brother and sister and the little kids we(my mom and I) babysit. There is a little girl who is 8 or 9 months, who shall be called Cupcake and she is so.adorable. seriously she's the cutest little thing! when I first saw her and held her when she was just a few weeks old, she created a sweet and very special place in my heart :) We watch her older sister, who shall be called Muffins (which is is her real nickname ;) and she is such a sweetie also. Cupcake and Muffins are my "adopted" sisters ;) wow, I got way off track ;P so the main thought of this section is that I would really like to keep the little people in my life to stay little. they grow up so fast and I'm learning to treasure every moment with them :)

I really didn't intend this post to be long but it is. I've been sitting at the computer for like *ahem* 2 hours. I've probably killed hundreds of brain cells and I won't be able to think for the rest of the night. oh well, the dead cells will be replaced quickly... I hope. ;)

hope you are having a great week, serving Christ and loving others :)

with love,
samarah

  5. I found out from a lady that Emily's blog was deleted because of rude/innapropriate comments. I still wonder why they would shut it down for that purpose without letting anyone know. Hmmmm. I really miss Emily and really hope that she will consider perhaps opening back up her blog. I wondered the same exact thing as you about her blog. I though, "This is fishy...why would her blog suddenly shut down?"^_^

  6. Hi Samarah!
As far as I know, Emily is still doing okay but decided to delete her blog due to nasty comments. Here is a link to a blog post by Summer (one of Emily's blog friends) that explains things a little bit:

I know I was really worried when I realized her blog was gone! I'm just thankful to know she's alright. :)

    Have a blessed day!

  13. @ LaSara and Taylor - Thank you girls so much for posting this link! I've been worried about Emily because she was having those horrible headaches, and then her blog disappeared ... I'm glad she is doing okay.

I really don't understand what kind of a person would come and leave nasty comments on the blog of a godly girl who has been through so much. >:-( Honestly, some people need to get a life!!

@ Samarah, good luck on your exercising and your Bible reading -- I am doing similar things right now, trying to find a workout plan that is good for me, and also reading through the Old Testament for one of my Bible classes. I'll think of you while I'm working out or reading! :-)

    Love in Christ,
    Vicki
