Memorial Day

First of all I want to thank the many men and women who have fought bravely and are still fighting to give us freedom here in America!!

Its sad to think how this country that many people have died for and are fighting for, is so messed up! We need to pray and trust that God is in control and He is in control of whats happening here in America :) Isn't that wonderful to think about? that we don't have to worry and stress over anything! He's in control! That's not to say that we shouldn't think and pray about things that are happening in our lives but we need to keep it moderated :)
I'm so thankful that I can still find beauty in this world :) Like beauty in family, friends, nature, and music just to name of few :)

A song that comes to mind is City on our Knees by tobyMac. It talks about coming together in love, sinners and all and creating a city with one King. I pray that someday America will come together and realize that without belief and trust in God our country will keep going down.

Here are the lyrics for City on Our Knees- l♥ve this song!

If you gotta’ start somewhere why not here?
If you gotta’ start sometime why not now?
If we gotta’ start somewhere I say here
If we gotta’ start sometime I say now

Through the fog
There is hope in the distance
From cathedrals to third world missions
Love will fall to the earth like a crashing wave

Tonight’s the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide in a beautiful (glorious) display
(‘Cause) it’s all love tonight
When we step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one King
A city on our knees
A city on our knees

Tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
Tonight could last forever

Tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
Family, we’re family

Oh, tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
You and me, yeah you and me

If we gotta’ start somewhere why not here?
If we gotta’ start sometime why not now?

I also really like this quote :)

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. — Joseph Campbell

Many thanks to all the heroes who gave and are giving their lives for this country!

Love in Christ,
Samarah

  1. Great post!! I love that song. Thanks for the comment~ I really like your blog... it's funny, the song "The Call" from the ending credits on "Prince Caspian" is one that I love, but couldn't find it, because I didn't know the name, but I found it on here, and have really enjoyed listening to it! ☺ I love all the music videos that you post, too, keep up the good blogging!!

    Blessings,
    Lydia
