{its the little things}

The past few weeks have been really long and a bit hard for me personally and this week, I was kinda at the end of my rope. I was reminded to focus on the little things. the little blessings that get me through each day and turn out to be some of the best things ever and make life worth it.

--facetiming my dear friend who lives 8 hours away and talking for hours about anything and everything and laughing TONS. 

--learning that Christian Bale(aka Batman) is Welsh and therefore has a legit accent.


--getting the very last Dove dark chocolate bar on the shelf at Walmart.


--finding this book for $1 at our homeschool group book sale last night. i've already started reading it and its really good so far.

--fangirling lots on monday night with 3 good friends. we watched Spiderman 1&2 and Love's Enduring Promise. yah, I fancy James Franco's and Willie's faces. just keepin' real.


--talking to this girl, who is such an encouragement and bright spot in my day.


--rediscovering MacGyver. he never goes out of style. for realz.

what little things have blessed you this week?

just popping in to say that i might be a little mia for a while. there's a lot going on right now and blogging is going to be on the back burner. my great grandfather passed away this morning and so sometime this week we will be making an 8 hour trip to the funeral and such. then next week our friends are coming for spring break which i am SO pumped for. so the rest of this week will be tiring and a bit stressful. but it is what it is. i wanted to schedule picture posts of India from my mom's trip during next week but i'm not sure if that will happen. also, I've been feeling pretty crummy the past week or so. prayers would be appreciated.

real quick, in other news, I finished reading The Hunger Games. oh my word. LOVE IT. so much! I'm on Catching Fire and can't put it down!! I'm so excited to see the movie next week with my friends. I'll post more about that later. along with that, i haven't been on my tumblr dashboard because of all the movie spoilers!! i won't get back on till after i see it, i think i should get an award. i've gotten on my dashboard since sunday afternoon. i'm still posting a little bit and its spoiler free! ;)

just a random post.

its been a while since i've done a random post? talking about this and that. they seem rather popular with you all and i like to write them ;)

--well right now its 84 degrees. ITS MARCH 21st!! the weather has been really extremely hot lately. in the winter, it was super cold and then it went straight to hot. but i'm trying not to complain, I do love having the windows open and the sunshine. i keep thinking about all those dreary winter days when it wouldn't stop snowing or raining. i'm even trying not to say its "hot". its very warm. ;) with everything so warm though, the trees/flowers/bushes are in full bloom. its really pretty! here are some shots i got over the past week.

--I finished up Robin Hood. I watched the very last 2 episodes yesterday. TALK ABOUT SAD. I won't say much about it for those people who haven't watched it yet. but maaan. beware if you go to my tumblr, there are spoilers.

yes, i am a nerd.

--i wish i had the time and skills to makeover my blog myself, it reeeealy needs a facelift. but alas, i don't want to use a free cheesy template or pay big bucks for someone else to do it. *sigh*

--I'm entering into the Hunger Games world. errr district? ;) I bought my own copy of the 1st book and it came today! i babysat till 4:30pm and i could not wait to get home! I'm planning on starting it tonight. :) i've heard and seen so much about it, TONS of stuff about it on tumblr.

speaking of, I looked up the soundtrack and fell in love with this song: i'm sure i'll like it even more after i read the book.



that's all the randomness for now! i'm off to workout, shower and start my book ;)

Ah its been forever since i've been on here. I'm alive. i think. i'm just getting over that sinus infection i had for 2+ weeks. and then my family got sick :/ some of them are still getting over it.

there are 2 reasons for my lack of blogging- time/energy and inspiration and topics to post about. so if you have anything you want to see me post more about let me know!

I'm on Day 9 of the Body and Mind Challenge and going strong...I think. ha ;) I did a Beginner Yoga dvd for a few days, now I'm doing Bob Harper's Yoga Warrior workout . i feel like i'm getting more of a workout with that plus stretching and relaxing. It has helped my headaches a bit so that is good :)
