movie thoughts part 1 [including Inception ;]

here are the movies i've watched in the past few months and my thoughts about them! :)

 whoa. this movie is pretty awesome. i'm still trying to wrap my head around the storyline and all the ins and outs.

 the action is sweet.

 the acting is fabulous

Eames is my favorite.

{*****}

This is a unique movie. I find its hard to explain the plot and such to people! Its a good one though and there is a hint of something spiritual, dealing with light and darkness.

{****}

I read the beginning of this book for a Literature Club a year or two ago. All i really remember from it, was a part where a guy's head got chopped off and was rolling around on the ground amdist the battle. Yeah. so I was waiting for that scene in the movie and it wasn't as gory a i thought it would be ;)

Anywho, the movie was good. a little graphic at times. and gross. like when they were eating that rat thing! it wasn't a "wow!" movie though. but it wasn't a wasted watch. and i think i'm gonna read that book again and read it all ;)
{***}

eh. this movie was okay. the story line is interesting but it the movie wasn't very good and felt a bit bland and the ending didn't feel complete.

 {**}

i liked this one. first of all its Hiccup!! ;)
 I think part of the reason I liked it so much is that i love fantasy-"magical" movies and books. this one had a good story line, plot and a good blend of comedy and seriousness. definitely a good watch.

{****}

Only complaint about this movie is the language. the rest of it was really good. :) similiar to Inception. a movie that actually made you think. go check it out.

{****}
it would have 5 stars but because of some choice words its only getting 4.

this is a really inspiring movie. I really enjoy true story based movies. a reminder that life is hard but there is hope. and strength.

have you seen any of these movies?? what are your thoughts?

forever 21, eyes, sick and birthday :)

Ah I just got back from an fabulous afternoon with my lovely and amazing friend! She took me out to lunch for my birthday and then we walked around and shopped :) ok, I'd been hearing so much about Forever 21 (great things!) and I'd never been there but I was curious to see why it was popular. well... I found out today! And now I know why everyone loves it. it has super cute and stylish stuff for really reasonable prices! :)

I got this lovely necklace!

My friend and I both got the same cardigan :] its long and has pockets, its so cute! I'll post a picture of it later :) I'm need of spring/summer clothes so I'm always excited when I find clothes that are reasonably priced, I like and that look good on me ;] I had such a great time with my friend! love her♥

Onto the 28 day challenge which is ending tomorrow! I think its kinda cool because its also my bday ;) I have had lots of fun with this :)

Day 27: A physical feature you love-

A lot of people are picking the same feature but its such a good one! so I couldn't resist ;)

eyes.

   its usually the first thing that I recognize about a person

they convey a lot about what a person is feeling
happiness
sadness
nervous
relaxed
etc...

they are all kinds of beautiful colors. I'm partial to blue :]

really partial ;)

The creator of eyes had to be someone so great and powerful. No man could ever create something so beautiful and lovely. Only God :)

but I do have some sad news... my whole family is sick. We've been healthy all winter and then yesterday we got sore throats and today all 5 of us have headaches, sore throats and stopped up sinuses :( Needless to say its gonna be an interesting week... praying we all get better soon!

Can tomorrow really be my birthday?? seriously, time is just flying by! Wow, well be looking for a post tomorrow answering these question; Day 28: Hopes, Dreams and plans you have for the next 365 days which is a great question for a birthday :)
oh and real quick I want to explain my birthday just a bit, its a lil' confusing!
  • I was born on February 29
  • the 29th comes once every 4 years
  • so I celebrate on the 28th and March 1st
  • fun fact: my "real" birthday lands in the year of the Election AND the summer Olympics :]
  • I'm not saying my age but I'm between 14-18 ;)
  • I love being a leap year baby :] its so fun and unique!

till tomorrow! :)

much love,
Samarah

snow and movie! (attention to all who have tagged me!)

hey all!
I am snuggled in my cozy house with some hot chocolate this Sunday morning because the roads are too bad to go to church.even though we just have a few inches of snow, we got lots of rain last night so there's ice underneath the snow making for very slippery streets! we tried going but ended up turning around and coming back home. I'm kinda glad though, we all are tired and so we are just relaxing and hanging out :)

here are two pictures from the very first snow fall we had :) I edited them with picnik. is anyone else in love with the winterize feature?!

also, if you have tagged me during the past 2 weeks please leave a comment on this post and let me know you have and if you could leave the direct link to your post that would be great :) i really don't want to go all over the blogging world looking for the tags ;)

I saw the VDT on Friday night and I loved it! It was even better than Prince Caspian (which i love!), but I Prince Caspian wasn't really an interesting book so they had to add things to the movie to make it enjoyable to watch. I think they did a great job. but I really enjoyed this one!! :)

 I was so glad that they stayed close to the book

I love the part where the snow came down :)
 it was a great mix of seriousness and humor. everyone laughed at many parts in the movie :) it was very enjoyable to watch.
my dad and I really liked the dufflepuds :)

the actors did a awesome job! i really liked that they dropped Caspian's accent.everyone seemed so much more mature especially Lucy! she looked so grown up! it seems like just yesterday that she was like 8 yrs.old and walking through the wardrobe ;) but I'm still not quite sure why Anna Popplewell and William Moseley were in the trailer and on the poster. while I enjoyed seeing them briefly, I'm still wondering why they were in it? but oh well ;)

 They did a wonderful job choosing the actor for Eustace! he was snobby, funny and just had the perfect personality! i was really looking forward to seeing how they would play out Eustace turning into a dragon and i was pleased with out they did it. I love the part of the book where Aslan has to rip away Eustace's scales  but if they would of done that in the movie i think it would have surpassed the PG rating ;)

I loved Reepicheep! he's definitely one of my favorite characters ever!

 I loved all the quotes that seemed to point straight to Christianity. especially with Lucy doubting her beauty. It was a great message about  being you! Christ has a marvelous plan made just for you!
The Voyage of the Dawn treader is probably my favorite so far :)

hope you are having a safe, blessed weekend :)
